Los Angeles Fashion Week: Gen Art Style
Kickin’ off LA Fashion Week the only way we know how…With Gen Art’s ‘Fresh Faces in Fashion’ of course!
Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor, and Jared Gold are just a few of Gen Art’s famous Alumni designers, so it is always exciting to see who will be showing at Gen Art’s events. This year marked Gen Arts 11th annual ‘Fresh Faces in Fashion’, which was hosted by the beautiful and fashion-savvy Mandy Moore. Editors, celebrities and fashion-obsessed looky-loos alike flocked to the Peterson Automotive Museum on LA’s miracle mile to catch the Spring 09 looks from up and coming designers. Models strutted the runway showing off collections by menswear designers K.Z.O and Wayne Hadley. Womenswear designers included Maxine Dillon, Laeken, Quail, Nanushka, Peonie, and Wayf.

So, who was the best in show? Well, I would have to go with K.Z.O. A follower of K.Z.O since Spring 2007 (K.Z.O’s first collection), I can assure you; the line never misses a beat! Joel K., who is the creative director and designer of K.Z.O (and a dear friend of CC’s), goes the extra mile to add in those little, unexpected details that make each garment a work of art in its own.
Trust me when I say: K.Z.O has only been getting better with age. The style of K.Z.O has matured with unreserved sophistication, yet Joel K. still brings that pop of color or other unexpected detail to “wow” you every season. For Spring 09, K.Z.O added cobalt blue to its collection, and that understated explosion of color was the perfect spark to stir up the otherwise serious collection.
Trailer Trashy?…More Like Trailer Classy!

It may be just “Buzz-worthy” enough for See by CC… Hope you like it!
Who said trailers were white trash? I know I did; the closest I would get to an RV home was an Airstream. Until now that is, because now I have completely different feelings on the oh-so trashy lifestyle of motor homes. Check out the Mehrzeller Camper prototype in Düsseldorf, Germany. It’s sleek, it’s sexy and it’s exactly where I want to wake up tomorrow morning. Forget the redneck stereotype that curses the RV, I’m rolling up to the nearest trailer-park in one of these!

Your Mehrzeller Camper is customized to your specific lifestyle. On the website you input personal information regarding your lifestyle, and then your Mehrzeller is shaped according to your needs. You will get a rendering of your very own Mehrzeller, followed by the fun part: you choose the materials and appliances! Your entire order is processed via an online “configurator”. The use of space is determined by how many kids you have (if any), what pets you travel with, how often you entertain, etc.

The customization and ordering process of the Mehrzeller becomes available in spring 2009, so get your wish list ready as you too will be able to customize your own, one of a kind, Mehrzeller online!

Its luxury on wheels and it is calling my name! Now I would definitely get the kiddy-pool out, dry my wardrobe on clothes lines, and make a Jello mold….Its time to bring some class back to the motor home lifestyle and that is just what the Mehrzeller does! If you are blessed with the ability to speak German then I suggest you read more here: mehrzeller
